About Jerry Williams!Jerry Williams! is an artist, writer, animator and occasional video blogger. In essence, he is a storyteller, though one who uses images more often than words alone. Whether designing a print ad, a brochure, a comic book, or an animated piece, Jerry’s goal is to take into account the story behind the final product and how, through his craft, he can best get that story across.
But enough of writing in the third person. My favorite storytelling medium is the comic book, animation being a close second. In the ’80’s people tried to “legitimize” comics by calling them “graphic novels”, but personally I think they are quite legitimate as COMICS, so that’s what I call them. The comic is a medium both information and entertainment can be transferred in a universal way, and I support them fully. The “sequential art” mechanism of comics is applied in variety of ways; from storyboards for animation and film to airline emergency instruction cards. Which is, in my opinion, kind of awesome. I have a few creative ventures on my plate at the moment. I am currently writing my next comic creations, what the industry would call an original graphic novel, “RUSTED” and a collaboration with my son Malachi called "The Adventuress of Malcolm & Poe." When there is something to show I'll put a link. Below you'll find samples of different art styles I've drawn in and different animated pieces I've done for clients or just for fun over the years. |
